The Abyssinian thrush (Turdus abyssinicus) is a passerine bird in the family Turdidae. It is also known as the African mountain thrush, or northern olive thrush The species was formerly treated as conspecific with the olive thrush (Turdus olivaceus) but the species were split based on the genetic differences. The ranges do not overlap. The Abyssinian thrush is found in Eritrea and other parts of the Horn of Africa, as well as an area to the southeast extending from the African Great Lakes region to north eastern Zambia and Malawi.

Drozd etiopský (Turdus abyssinicus) je druh pěvce z čeledi drozdovitých. Ačkoli byl dříve ztotožňován s drozdem olivovým (Turdus olivaceus), tyto dva druhy bývají oddělovány kvůli genetickým rozdílům. Drozd etiopský se vyskytuje v Eritrei a dalších zemích Afrického rohu, dále pak i v oblasti rozpínající se od jihovýchodu Afrických Velkých jezer až do severovýchodních částí Zambie a Malawi.

Die Abessiniendrossel (Turdus abyssinicus) ist ein Singvogel aus der Familie der Drosseln (Turdidae).
Der Vogel kommt in Eritrea und im ganzen Horn von Afrika vor und von den Afrikanischen Großen Seen bis zum Nordosten Sambias und Malawis.
Die Art wurde als konspezifisch mit der Kapdrossel (Turdus olivaceus) angesehen und als Turdus olivaceus abyssinicus bezeichnet, aber aufgrund molekularbiologischer Untersuchungen im Jahre 2005 als eigenständig abgetrennt.
Der Lebensraum umfasst hauptsächlich Bergwald, Primärwald, Sekundärwald, Galeriewald, Waldränder, Lichtungen, auch Kosobäume (Hagenia abyssinica), Bambus, Dickichte und in Burundi Moore meist von 1830 bis 3350 m, mitunter auch von 950 bis 4200 m. ü. M.
