The grey-breasted spurfowl or grey-breasted francolin (Pternistis rufopictus) is a species of bird in the family Phasianidae. It is found only in Tanzania. The grey-breasted spurfowl was described by the German ornithologist Anton Reichenow in 1887 and given its current binomial name Pternistis rufopictus. The specific epithet combines the Latin rufus meaning "red" and pictus meaning "painted". A molecular phylogenetic study published in 2019 found that the grey-breasted spurfowl is sister to the red-necked spurfowl. The species is monotypic: no subspecies are recognised.

Frankolín šedoprsý (Pternistis rufopictus) je druh ptáka z čeledi bažantovitých (Phasianidae). Vyskytuje se pouze v Tanzanii. Frankolína šedoprsého popsal německý ornitolog Anton Reichenow v roce 1887 a dal mu současný binomický název Pternistis rufopictus. Druhové jméno kombinuje latinské „rufus“ znamenající „červený“ a „pictus“ znamenající „malovaný“. Molekulárně fylogenetická studie publikovaná v roce 2019 zjistila, že frankolín šedoprsý je sesterským druhem frankolína rudokrkého. Druh je monotypický: nejsou uznávány žádné poddruhy.

Der Graubrust-Frankolin (Pternistis rufopictus) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Fasanenartigen (Phasianidae). Er kommt ausschließlich in Tansania vor. Der Graubrust-Frankolin wurde 1887 vom deutschen Ornithologen Anton Reichenow beschrieben und erhielt seinen heutigen binomischen Namen Pternistis rufopictus. Das Artepitheton kombiniert das lateinische „rufus“ für „rot“ und „pictus“ für „bemalt“.
