Cistovníkovec chathamský (Poodytes rufescens) je vyhynulý ptačí druh, který žil endemitně na Chathamských ostrovech. Historicky byl znám pouze z ostrova Mangere, ale fosilní pozůstatky byly nalezeny také na ostrově Pitt a Chatham.

Der Chathamfarnsänger (Poodytes rufescens, Syn.: Megalurus rufescens, Bowdleria rufescens), früher Chatham-Grassänger, ist eine ausgestorbene Vogelart, die auf Pitt Island und Mangere Island (Chatham-Inseln) endemisch war. Seine nächsten noch existierenden Verwandten sind der Farnänger oder Matata (Poodytes punctatus) und der Snaresfarnsänger (Poodytes caudatus). Manche Wissenschaftler betrachteten ihn als Unterart des Matatas und gaben ihm die wissenschaftlichen Namen Megalurus punctatus rufescens oder Megalurus punctatus rufescens. Während er in der Vergangenheit oft in die eigene Gattung Bowdleria klassifiziert wurde, wird er in aktuellen Systematiken (z. B. IOC World Bird List) in die australasiatischen Gattung Poodytes eingeordnet.

La yerbera de las Chatham (Megalurus rufescens) es una especie extinta de ave paseriforme de la familia Locustellidae endémica de las islas Pitt y Mangere (pertenecientes a las islas Chatham). Su pariente vivo más cercano es la yerbera maorí que se extiende hasta las vecinas islas Snares (Megalurus punctatus caudatus). Algunos científicos la consideran una subespecie de la yerbera maorí, denominándola M. punctatus rufescens pero generalmente se considera una especie separada.

La Mégalure des Chatham (Poodytes rufescens) est une espèce disparue de passereaux des îles Pitt et Mangere, appartenant aux îles Chatham (Nouvelle-Zélande). Sa dernière observation date de 1900. Son extinction est probablement due à la perte de son habitat naturel à la suite de brûlis et du surpâturage par des lapins et des chèvres, et de la prédation par les chats, toutes espèces introduites.

Storicamente nota solo per l'isola di Mangere, resti fossili sono stati rinvenuti anche sulle isole di Pitt e Chatham. Il suo parente vivente più prossimo è l'uccello felce della Nuova Zelanda o matata (Poodytes punctatus). In passato classificato come sottospecie di quest'ultimo, è oggi ampiamente riconosciuto come specie a sé stante. Entrambe le specie sono state precedentemente collocate nel genere Bowdleria, poi in Megalurus e, più recentemente, in Poodytes.

Chathamska pokrzewka (Poodytes rufescens) to wymarły gatunek ptaka, będący endemitem wysp Chatham. Historycznie znana była jedynie z wyspy Mangere, jednak szczątki kopalne odnaleziono również na wyspach Pitt i Chatham. Jej najbliższym żyjącym krewnym jest nowozelandzka pokrzewka (Poodytes punctatus). Dawniej traktowana jako podgatunek pokrzewki nowozelandzkiej, obecnie jest powszechnie uznawana za odrębny gatunek. Oba gatunki były dawniej zaliczane do rodzaju Bowdleria, później przeniesiono je do Megalurus, a ostatnio do Poodytes.
