Whistler's warbler (Phylloscopus whistleri) is a species of leaf warbler (family Phylloscopidae). It was formerly included in the "Old World warbler" assemblage.
It is found in the Indian subcontinent, from the Himalayas to Myanmar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and heavily degraded former forest.
Whistler's warbler was previously placed in the genus Seicercus. A molecular phylogenetic study published in 2018 found that neither Phylloscopus nor Seicercus were monophyletic. In the subsequent reorganization the two genera were merged into Phylloscopus which has priority under the rules of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature. The common name commemorates the English ornithologist Hugh Whistler (1889–1943).

Budníček Whistlerův (Phylloscopus whistleri) je druh budníčka z čeledi Phylloscopidae, dříve řazený do skupiny „pěnic Starého světa“. Vyskytuje se na indickém subkontinentu, od Himálaje po Myanmar. Jeho přirozeným prostředím jsou subtropické nebo tropické vlhké horské lesy a silně degradované bývalé lesní porosty. Budníček Whistlerův byl dříve řazen do rodu Seicercus. Molekulárně-fylogenetická studie publikovaná v roce 2018 zjistila, že ani Phylloscopus, ani Seicercus nejsou monofyletické. Při následné reorganizaci byly oba rody sloučeny do rodu Phylloscopus, který má podle pravidel Mezinárodní komise pro zoologickou nomenklaturu přednost. České jméno připomíná anglického ornitologa Hugha Whistlera (1889–1943).

Der Whistler-Laubsänger (Phylloscopus whistleri) ist eine Art aus der Familie der Laubsänger (Phylloscopidae), die früher zur Gruppe der „Altwelt-Grasmücken“ gezählt wurde. Er ist auf dem indischen Subkontinent vom Himalaya bis Myanmar verbreitet. Seine natürlichen Lebensräume sind subtropische oder tropische feuchte Bergwälder sowie stark degradierte ehemalige Waldgebiete. Der Whistler-Laubsänger wurde früher in die Gattung Seicercus eingeordnet. Eine molekularphylogenetische Studie aus dem Jahr 2018 ergab, dass weder Phylloscopus noch Seicercus monophyletisch sind. Bei der anschließenden Neuordnung wurden beide Gattungen zu Phylloscopus zusammengelegt, da dieser Name gemäß den Regeln der Internationalen Kommission für Zoologische Nomenklatur Priorität hat.
