Ololygon aromothyella is a species of frog in the family Hylidae, found in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, rivers, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marshes.

Ololygon aromothyella (Syn.: Scinax aromothyella) ist ein neotropischer Froschlurch aus der Familie der Laubfrösche (Hylidae). Diese Art wurde früher zur Gattung Scinax gezählt und dort der Scinax-catharinae-Klade zugeordnet. Im Jahr 2016 wurde vorgeschlagen, diese Klade zu einer eigenständigen Gattung mit dem Namen Ololygon zu erheben. Es wurde diskutiert, welchen Umfang diese Klade hat und ob sie tatsächlich als eigene Gattung darstellbar ist. Im Jahr 2023 wurde nach ausführlichen molekulargenetischen und morphologischen Untersuchungen die Gattung Ololygon wiedererrichtet.
