Bělořit hnědoocasý (Oenanthe scotocerca) je druh ptáka z čeledi lejskovitých. Vyskytuje se v Čadu, Eritreji, Etiopii, Keni, Somálsku, Súdánu a Ugandě. Jeho přirozeným prostředím jsou suché savany a subtropické nebo tropické suché křoviny. Bělořit hnědoocasý byl dříve řazen do rodu Cercomela. Molekulárně fylogenetické studie publikované v letech 2010 a 2012 zjistily, že rod Cercomela je polyfyletický a pět druhů, včetně bělořita hnědoocasého, je fylogeneticky vnořeno do rodu Oenanthe. V rámci reorganizace druhů za účelem vytvoření monotypických rodů byl bělořit hnědoocasý přeřazen do rodu Oenanthe. Je hmyzožravý.

Der Braunschwanz-Steinschmätzer (Oenanthe scotocerca) ist eine Vogelart aus der Familie der Muscicapidae. Er kommt im Tschad, in Eritrea, Äthiopien, Kenia, Somalia, Sudan und Uganda vor. Seine natürlichen Lebensräume sind trockene Savannen sowie subtropische oder tropische Trockenstrauchgebiete. Der Braunschwanz-Steinschmätzer wurde früher in die Gattung Cercomela eingeordnet. Molekularphylogenetische Studien aus den Jahren 2010 und 2012 ergaben, dass die Gattung Cercomela polyphyletisch war, wobei fünf Arten, darunter der Braunschwanz-Steinschmätzer, phylogenetisch innerhalb der Gattung Oenanthe lagen. Im Zuge einer Neuordnung der Arten zur Schaffung monotypischer Gattungen wurde der Braunschwanz-Steinschmätzer in die Gattung Oenanthe überführt. Er ernährt sich von Insekten.
