Shelley's starling (Lamprotornis shelleyi) is a species of starling in the family Sturnidae. It is found in East Africa, within the borders of Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Somaliland, South Sudan, and Tanzania.
The common name and Latin binomial commemorate George Ernest Shelley, an English ornithologist and nephew of poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.

Der Shelleyglanzstar (Lamprotornis shelleyi) aus der Gattung der Eigentlichen Glanzstare (Lamprotornis) ist eine endemisch im östlichen Afrika lebende Vogelart aus der Familie der Stare (Sturnidae) in der Ordnung der Sperlingsvögel (Passeriformes). Er hat ein stark metallisch glänzendes, irisierendes Federkleid in blauen, grünen bis violetten Farbtönen und einem rostbraunen Bauch. Sein Verbreitungsgebiet liegt in trockenen bis halbtrockenen Busch-Savannen mit Baumbestand und übersichtlichem Boden. Er ernährt sich überwiegend von verschiedenen Insekten und Früchten.
