The plain squeaker or Marimba screeching frog (Arthroleptis xenochirus) is a species of frog in the family Arthroleptidae.
It is found in Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, and Zambia, and possibly in the adjacent Tanzania.
Its natural habitats are open grassland near streams, and forest patches. It can also occur on the edge of plantations and in rural gardens. It is very common frog in suitable habitats, and there are no significant threats to this adaptable species.

Arthroleptis xenochirus je druh žáby z čeledi Arthroleptidae. Vyskytuje se v Angole, Demokratické republice Kongo, Malawi a Zambii a možná i v přilehlé Tanzanii. Jejím přirozeným prostředím jsou otevřené travnaté porosty v blízkosti potoků a lesní porosty. Může se vyskytovat i na okrajích plantáží a ve venkovských zahradách. Ve vhodných biotopech je to velmi běžná žába a pro tento přizpůsobivý druh neexistují žádné významné hrozby.

Der Plain-Quietscher oder Marimba-Quietschfrosch (Arthroleptis xenochirus) ist eine Froschart aus der Familie der Arthroleptidae. Er kommt in Angola, der Demokratischen Republik Kongo, Malawi und Sambia sowie möglicherweise im angrenzenden Tansania vor. Seine natürlichen Lebensräume sind offenes Grasland in der Nähe von Bächen und Waldstücke. Er kann auch am Rande von Plantagen und in ländlichen Gärten vorkommen.
